25 Greco-Roman Wrestlers Called Up to Participate in National Camp

TEHRAN A number of 25 Greco-Roman wrestlers were invited by Iran's Wrestling Federation (IWF) to take part in the training sessions of the national team to get ready for competing in the world tournament to be held in the U.S. in 2001.

The warm-up sessions of national Greco-Roman wrestling team of Iran will start in the Enqelab Sports Complex, Tehran, on July 23, IRNA reported.

The summoned wrestlers are:

54 kg: hassan rangraz from mazandaran province, reza tavakkoli from isfahan province, habib sa'adat-bakhsh from gilan province

58 kg: ali ashkani from ardebil province, arash dousti from khuzestan province, bahman tayyebi from mazandaran province

63 kg: mehdi nassiri from fars province, mehrzad qalavand from khuzestan province, fardin latifi from kermanshah province

69 kg: parviz zeidvand from khuzestan province, shahram khaksar from ardebil province, hamid taherzadeh from tehran province

76 kg: seyed hossein mar'ashian from khuzestan province, ali abihi from gilan province, houman sheida from khorassan province

85 kg: alireza nikkhoo from ardebil province, mehdi rahimi & behrouz jamshidi from khuzestan province

97 kg: rassoul jazini from isfahan province, bahaeddin moradi from kurdestan province, abolfazl khamseh-zadeh from tehran province, masoud hashem-zadeh from east azarbaijan province

130 kg: alireza gharibi from ilam province, payam zarrin-pour from fars province, mehdi sabz-ali from tehran suburb

The coaches steering the team are Ahad Pazaj from Ardebil Province, Abdollah Chamangoli from Kurdestan Province, and Reza Simkhah from Mazandaran Province.
