TEHRAN - The graphic master of Tehran University of Fine Arts said that the art of graphic has faced stagnation due to the reason that this art has turned to a commercial art.

On the sideline section of the 7th Biennial Graphic Exhibition which is being held in Isfahan, Shiva stated that graphic is an artistic work and it should not be misused in order to develop the economy.

According to the master, the real sight of environmental and educational values of graphic gets clear when this art is not considered as an economical element.

Mentioning the background of Iranian art and culture, he added that unfortunately creativity has decreased in the traditional arts of Iran and the artists think of these arts as followers.

Shiva considered the cultural rend in between the art of today and yesterday due to being westernized and hoped that the artists consider graphic as an original art.

The 7th exhibition of Biennial Graphic is currently being held in Isfahan Museum of Contemporary Arts till June 20.
