Pakistani passengers stranded in snow receive relief aid

TEHRAN – The Iranian Red Crescent Society has provided relief aid to 48 Pakistani passengers stranded in snow in Khorasan Razavi Province, northeastern Iran, according to IRNA.
Severe snowstorm caused a technical problem for a bus of Pakistani passengers on Sunday night, said Hassan Goudarzi, head of the Operations Control and Coordination Center of the Red Crescent Society.
Upon being informed, a rescue team was deployed to the area to provide food and blankets to the passengers, Goudarzi said.
Snow has covered many cities and villages in Iran, causing a lot of trouble in some areas.
