Tehran symposium awards Iran’s best set and costume designs

TEHRAN – Iran’s best set and costumes designs of the year in the cinema and theater were awarded during the 2nd Tehran International Symposium on Set and Costume Design during a ceremony at the Iranian Artists Forum on Saturday.

The award for best set design in the feature film category was presented to “Black Horse Memories” by Shahram Alidi while the award for best costume design went to “The Villa Tenants”.

“Asphyxia” by Fereidun Jeirani received the award for Best Interaction between Director and Set and Costume Designers.

In the theater category, “Verb” by Sasan Piruz received the award for best set design, and “Sons of the History” by Maryam Nurmohammadi won the award for best costume design.   

The award for Best Interaction between Director and Set and Costume Designers in this category went to “Verb” by director Mohammad Rezai.

In the short film section, Kamyab Amin-Ashayeri received the award for best set designer for his collaboration in “The Sleepwalkers” directed by Puya Nabi. Masud Hatami won the award for best costume designer for “Survival” directed by himself.

“A Girl in the Room” by Karaim Lakzadeh was presented with the award for Best Interaction between Director and Set and Costume Designers.
