TEHRAN PAPERS:

Emphasizing the resumption of nuclear negotiations

December 2, 2023 - 19:35

In a commentary, Shargh addressed the recent demand of Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and wrote: After the failure of the Iranophobic project and the political propaganda of Western countries against the peaceful nuclear program of our country, Grossi demanded the resumption of nuclear negotiations with Iran to resolve the remaining safeguards issues.

Grossi claimed that trying to resume the implementation [of the nuclear deal] within the framework of the JCPOA will not work. In order to succeed, there must be a minimum level of consensus in the international community, and Iran must really cooperate with us. This is while Iran fulfilled all its commitments until one year after America's withdrawal from the JCPOA, in order to give a chance to the European countries that had promised to compensate for the effects of Washington's withdrawal from the agreement. After the non-compliance of the United States and the European countries regarding the JCPOA issue, now the Western countries and the Atomic Energy Agency have made claims against Iran's peaceful nuclear program according to fake Israeli documents. The Islamic Republic of Iran, while rejecting the claims, emphasized that the obligations of countries in the field of safeguards are not unlimited.

Iran: De-Americanization of the future of West Asia
In an article, the Iran newspaper dealt with the regional movements and the emergence of de-Americanization in the region and quoted Mahdi Shakibaei, an expert on regional issues, as saying: "The Leader of the Islamic Revolution has always and even in his recent words pointed out the emerging order of the region based on de-Americanization." Iran emphasized the component of independence and de-Americanization and caused a wide wave of confrontation and hostility in the political, economic and diplomatic fields from the West against the Islamic Republic. The West’s aim was to prevent the spread of this pattern to other countries in the region. However, the recent war in Gaza and the failure and surprise of the Zionist regime following the "Al-Aqsa Storm" operation has presented the United States with a strategic challenge. On the one hand, this country needs to get out of the quagmire in which it got stuck due to the resistance forces, and on the other hand, it has no choice but to support its strategic ally. In such a situation, without doubt, the order that the Leader  of the Islamic Revolution mentioned in his speech is based on the needs of the nations of the region because as long as the presence of foreigners or their will has an effect in the region, they will harm the interests of these nations. Therefore, the new order is completely aligned with the interests of the nations in the West Asia region.

Ham Mihan: Iran emphasized the positions of non-escalation of tensions in the region
In an analysis, Ham Mihan discussed Iran's foreign policy regarding the Gaza war and said: Since the beginning of the conflict between Hamas and Israel, the name of Iran has been repeated many times by different sides of the war, and one of the main axes of this international event has been the role and possible reaction of Iran to developments in Gaza. But both Iran and non-state groups in the region that are connected with Iran have shown that they have tensions with America and Israel at a controlled and limited level. This issue shows that there is an unwritten understanding between Iran on one side and America and Israel on the other side about the need to ensure that the scope of tensions, conflicts and clashes does not expand. Since the beginning of the war, Americans and Israelis have admitted that Iran was not involved in the planning of the October 7 attack, and even the Americans said that Iran was surprised by this attack by Hamas. Naturally, the authorities of the Islamic Republic do not want to enter into a large-scale war with America and Israel, and this is what the authorities of the Islamic Republic are realistically, correctly and rationally trying to avoid.

Arman-e-Melli: Sending the Diamond ship under the pretext of strengthening security
In a note, Arman-e-Melli discussed the deployment of the second ship of the British Royal Navy to the Persian Gulf and wrote: British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps claimed in a statement that it is very important to strengthen our presence in the region and protect our interests against a more unstable and controversial world. He said that the Diamond Ship ensures freedom of navigation and assures merchant ships. Therefore, this action "sends a clear message to Tehran and its proxies." This is while the Islamic Republic of Iran has rejected the claim of interference in Palestinian movements and emphasized that it does not have any proxy group in the region. These are the groups that make their own decisions and act.
