Brazilian journalists to hold seminar on recent events in Iran
TEHRAN – The House of Journalists in Minas Gerais and the Journalists’ Union in Brazil are going to hold a seminar on what the mainstream media did not say about the recent protests-turned-to riots in Iran.
The seminar is planned as the recent events in Iran have received vast coverage in Brazilian and international media.
Participants include Danny Zahredinne, professor of International Relations at PUC Minas and specialist in the Middle East; Eduardo Campos, a journalist and geopolitics scholar who lived in Iran between 2024 and 2025; and cartoonist Quinho, who was in Iran during the recent unrest.
The recent unrest in the country, which started with protests over currency market volatility among Iran’s bazaaris, was exploited by the U.S. and Israel and, supported by the foreign regimes, devolved into systemic urban terrorism in an effort to overthrow the Islamic Republic.
