Iran accuses UAE of role in war, warns of “crushing” response

TEHRAN- A senior Iranian intelligence official has said that the United Arab Emirates played an active role in both the outbreak and continuation of the war against Iran, according to remarks cited by The Cradle Arabic.

The official said decision-making circles in Tehran are reviewing multiple reports pointing to Emirati involvement, adding that authorities have decided to end “weeks of restraint” toward the country.

According to the source, Iranian security assessments reveal the UAE not only hosts U.S. military facilities—some of which have already been targeted in Iran’s retaliatory strikes—but also allows its airbases to be used for operations against Iran.

The official further announced that some analysts in Tehran now view the UAE as a regional foothold for Israel, accusing it of engaging in covert and destabilizing activities, including so-called false flag operations in neighboring countries (attack on Oman).

He also pointed to other forms of cooperation, stating that advanced artificial intelligence infrastructure in the UAE has been used to support targeting operations, and that Abu Dhabi shared intelligence on Iranian individuals and sites with the U.S. and Israel—placing it, in Iran’s view, in the category of a direct aggressor.

The source warned that recent incidents, including attacks on Iranian vessels and coastal areas originating from Emirati territory, could trigger a strong response from Tehran in the next phase.
