TEHRAN -- Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that Iran will never bow to the unjust world system dictated by the bullying powers.

“Those who advised the Iranian nation to join the international community are the same ones that expressed displeasure over” the Iranian nation’s Islamic Revolution, the Leader said in a ceremony arranged for cadets at the Imam Hussein Military Academy.
“The advice to return to the international community means capitulation in the face of bullying powers and accepting the unjust world system. But the Iranian nation has said ‘no’ to this ridiculous and illogical demand for the past thirty years.”
The Leader was indirectly referring to statements by officials from the United States and certain European countries who have been suggesting that Iran can join the international community by giving up its right to nuclear technology.
Ayatollah Khamenei went to say that the Iranian nation and system will never give in to pressure.
All the pressure on Iran over the past thirty years has been imposed with the aim of lowering the “high status” of the Islamic Republic’s system, but all these efforts have ended in failure and will continue to fail, he observed.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader called science a “divine blessing” which has been misused by certain countries.
“Unfortunately, some persons have been using this divine blessing for corruption… invasion and suppression, the result of which has been the division of the world into oppressor and oppressed.”
He also praised the scientific breakthroughs made by researchers from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.
“Today the progress of Islamic Iran is not comparable with the past, and now the pace of scientific advancement is very great.”
However, he insisted, there is still a long way to go to reach the desired goal, but Iran will only arrive at this destination through the diligent efforts of its young scientists
