TEHRAN – The Majlis is investigating reports that those killed in the country’s post-election violence have been secretly buried at Tehran’s Behesht Zahra cemetery, MP Hamid Reza Katouzian said on Tuesday.

The Majlis (parliament) has made contacts with relevant officials in this regard and it will inform the public about the results of the investigations, Katouzian told reporters.
However, there are many rumors at the present time, he said, urging everyone to avoid making hasty judgments.
He went on to say that some anti-revolutionary elements have had a hand in this issue.
Katouzian noted that he made contacts with the managing director of the Behesht Zahra Organization (Tehran cemetery) to ask for more information on the issue.
Mahmoud Rezaiyan, managing director of the Behesht Zahra Organization, said the burial ground has “not received any unidentified body” and has not been “forced to issue burial permits either,” Press TV reported
