How to increase your hair volume, restore shine to it

It is likely for people to feel their hair have gone lifeless and dull. Dull hair looks less healthy, and absorbs light rather than reflecting it.

Well, there is a simple, but smelly solution to have healthier and shinier hair.

Henna, a khaki green powder obtained from dried henna leaves, is historically known for its use to dye hair, skin and fingernails. However a smooth paste made with smashed henna, konar (shrubs in buckthorn family) and myrtle leaves, ground chickpea, egg yolks, olive oil, one spoon of lemon juice (to tone down the orange henna color) and some water would do the magic.

Once made, rub the paste to your hair and cover it with a shower cap. Owing to the egg yolks the paste is pretty stinky but if you let the paste to stay on your hair for 5 to 6 hours the result would be much more satisfying in the long run. Nonetheless, one hour would do as well. Repeat the procedure once a week.

Adding one cup of stewed tea to the paste instead of water would give a reddish-brown tone to your hair.

A final word of caution, never try the paste on dyed hair with chemical hair dyes.
