TEHRAN-- Head of the Investment and Economic Affairs Center of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage Ali-Asghar Shalbafian announced the inauguration of 255 projects with an investment of over 210 trillion rials ($140 million) and generation of 3,062 jobs during the Ten-Day Dawn, marking victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Speaking at the ceremony to inaugurate the country's tourism projects, which was held at the site of the Istanland Sarein water park project in the presence of Minister of Cultural Heritage Reza Salehi-Amiri, Shalbafian said: “These projects are, above all, the result of the efforts of the private investors and the support of the officials,” ILNA reported.

He added: “With the opening of these projects, the number of projects that have been inaugurated since the beginning of the current government reaches 1,110 projects with an investment of 650 trillion rials ($433 million) and currently 3,017 tourism projects are under construction nationwide.”

Shalbafian emphasized that the inauguration ceremony of tourism projects has been held for the first time outside the capital and in the tourist city of Sarein in Ardabil province, which reflects the Ministry of Cultural Heritage's policy of decentralizing the capital and paying special attention to the provinces.

He continued: “Another policy of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage is to observe all aspects of support for all investors and activists in the three mission areas, and we announce that all tourism ecosystems in the country enjoy this support.”

Referring to some of the ministry's support measures, he stated: “In the past year, we have focused seriously on issuing anonymous licenses across the country so that we can seriously facilitate the path of investment and issuing licenses, and we have also followed up on issues such as thematic investment incentives.”

Shalbafian noted that also, obtaining appropriate credits to pay facilities to the investors in the tourism sector and handicraft artists was another measure that brought good results in paying supportive facilities this year.
