TEHRAN – In a decree issued on Sunday Judiciary chief Sadeq Amoli Larijani appointed Mohammad Jafar Montazeri as Iran’s new attorney general.

According to ISNA, Montazeri will officially take the office on Tuesday.

Montazeri was the head of the Administrative Justice Court.
