TEHRAN – The Iranian consulate in the Afghan city of Herat asked the Afghan police on Wednesday to back its claim about the Iranian origin of a few arrested terrorists with documents.
The arrested people are not Iranians, Consul Mahmoud Afkhami Rashidi told Radio Mardom.
The anti-terror police chief for western Herat province, Fazlur Rahman Khadim, on Monday said police had arrested three Iranian citizens on charges of murder, terrorist activities and providing supplies to other terrorists.
