Branko Ivankovic’s brother appointed Persepolis coach

TEHRAN – Zlatko Ivankovic has been named as assistant coach of Iranian football giant Persepolis.

The 60-year-old coach was named as his older brother’s assistant in the Tehran-based club.

Zlatko replaced Serten Cuk who left Persepolis to work at grassroots division of Croatian football federation.

Zlatko has already worked in Iran football when he took charge of Bargh Shiraz in 2005.

He has also coached Croatian football club NK Varazdina.

Under Branko Ivankovic, Persepolis won the Iran Professional League title last season and advanced to the AFC Champions League semi-final.
