TEHRAN- The Statistical Center of Iran announced that the inflation rate in the twelve-month period ended on the last day of the fifth Iranian calendar month of Mordad (August 22) stood at 9.7 percent, Tasnim news agency reported on Friday.

Inflation rate in the mentioned period shows one percent rise from the figure of the twelve-month period ended on the last day of the fourth Iranian calendar month of Tir (July 22).
