Bactrian Camels Conservation Project in northwestern Iran

A project to breed Bactrian camels in the northwestern province of Ardabil is underway with the participation of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The three-year project will end in the current year. There are about 200 Bactrian camels and 200,000 one-humped camels in the country.
