Young Iranian pop singer Hamid Hirad passes away
TEHRAN – Young Iranian pop singer Hamid Hirad passed away in Tehran on Thursday.
The popular singer who was suffering from leukemia for about 10 years, died at the age of 34, Honaronline reported.
Hamid Hirad was born in Rudsar, north of Iran. From the age of 6, he became interested in music and singing, and at 15, he became familiar with poetry and songwriting. He then turned towards traditional music alongside lyric writing. In his first artistic step, he began studying traditional music. He then pursued his artistic activities with a semi-professional group known as “Darvag”.
In late 2016, he began collaborating with “Avazi No” company. His first professional experience was collaborating with the Puzzle Band. However, his first serious independent song was released in May 2017, and two months later, with the song “Delaram,” in collaboration with Puzzle Band again, he gained fame.
He released his single track “Is That a Joke” in 2017, which soon became a hit. He released five music albums and several singles, which made him one of the most popular singers among the younger Iranian generation.
Later, his collaboration with another young pop singer Mostafa Ragheb in several tracks received significant feedback and led to several concerts and great reception from the audiences and fans.
