Persepolis, Naqsh-e Rostam Host Huge Number of Tourists

TEHRAN -- over 112,000 tourists, including 850 foreign ones, visited the famous Persepolis and Naqsh-e Rostam monuments in the first eight days of the new Iranian year (started March 20).

The Head of the Cultural Heritage Office of the provincial city of Marvdasht, Mosayeb Amiri, told IRNA on Thursday that 21,000 Iranian and foreign visitors viewed the Persepolis Museum.

He put the number of visitors who came to view the Naqsh-e Rostam at about 16,000, comprising Iranian and foreign tourists.
