Volleyball player Toukhteh banned for doping

TEHRAN – Iran national volleyball player Amirhossein Toukhteh has been banned for anti-doping rule violations.

He tested positive for banned substance chlorothiazide.

Toukhteh has claimed that he has used the drug due to kidney problem.

The Haraz team middle blocker is ineligible from Jan. 21, 2023 to Jan. 20, 2024.
