TEHRAN – The U.S. Office of Naval Intelligence has produced a report on Iranian navy, saying it possesses submarines “produced in Iran that are each capable of carrying two heavyweight torpedoes.”

According to the U.S. naval intelligence assessment, Iran puts emphasis on operating with small boats, as the IRGC “has continued to pursue smaller, faster platforms equipped with sophisticated weaponry, ideally suited for its asymmetric doctrine.”

The report also described the main components of Iran’s defense strategy as “ballistic missiles, and naval forces.”
