TEHRAN – Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Saturday night reacted to the United States’ provocation of violent protests in Iran, saying those who trigger fires will not escape unharmed.

A few days ago, when protests were taking place in certain cities in Iran, Mike Pompeo, an anti-Iran zealot who served as the CIA chief and Secretary of State in Donald Trump’s first administration, said agents from the Israeli Mossad spy service are among the rioters.

Writing on his X account, Araghchi said the U.S. administration claims this is an “illusion” that Israel and the United States are fueling the riots in Iran “but there is one problem: the former chief of the CIA during Trump’s presidency openly and unashamedly disclosed what Mossad and supporters of America are doing” among the rioters in Iran.

The Iranian foreign minister added the only “illusory” aspect of the current situation is that the U.S. and the Zionist regime suffer from the fantasy that the fire will not finally “burn” those who trigger it.
