TEHRAN – Since six months ago some 25 million cyberattacks have been made against Iran by more than 900,000 attackers, an MP said on Tuesday, quoting Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi.

Ali Najafi Khoshroudi, the spokesman of the Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, broke the story after a meeting with Azari Jahromi, Tasnim reported.

650 of the cyberattacks succeeded to infiltrate the country’s security infrastructure, he said.

The lawmaker also said the telecommunications minister provided the committee with a report on the ministry’s measures aimed at boosting cyber security.
