TEHRAN – Iran’s April 14 operation against Israeli positions in the occupied territories made Muslims around the world more confident in their ability to avert enemies, according to the head of the Basij Volunteer forces.

"Strategically, the Islamic world expanded and was honored after Operation True Promise because Muslim nations believed that they are capable of defending their rights under the shadow of Islamic Ummah,” Brigadier General Gholamreza Soleimani said during his speech at a ceremony held in the capital Tehran.

Iran launched dozens of drones and missiles at the occupied territories earlier this month, after the Israeli regime struck the country’s diplomatic premises in Damascus. Iran’s projectiles were countered by the defense systems of Israel, the U.S., UK, France and Jordan. Despite that, aerial footage and videos recorded during the attack show Tehran managed to hit the military bases it had targeted. Iranian authorities confirmed positions from the occupied Golan heights to the Negev desert have been destroyed.

“After this operation, the view towards the Iranian nation and the Islamic system improved, which is evidenced by the findings and research of strategic studies institutions. In fact, Operation True Promise was a nail in the coffin of Zionists, and its consequences in the future are prideful for Muslims and harsh for Zionists,” General Soleimani added.

He also commented on recent large protests held at American universities to demand a ceasefire in Gaza, highlighting how everything that’s been going on in the past months has enlightened people around the world about the true face of Zionism.

"Signs of awakening are seen in the American people, but it is not enough because their president openly threatens major world nations in the media,” he said, adding that the Israeli regime cannot survive 24 hours without the American taxpayer money it uses to massacre innocent civilians.
