TEHRAN – The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) launched multiple waves of ballistic missiles at the occupied territories Friday night, after Israel killed dozens of civilians, military officials, and nuclear scientists in earlier strikes across Iran.

In a statement, the IRGC said Iranian armed forced managed to hit tens of military and spy bases in the occupied territories, as well as certain arms manufacturer sites. “Satellite images and intelligence show dozens of strategic sites were successfully targeted, despite the enemy’s claims of interception,” the statement read.

Footage captured by Israeli residents also show damage at multiple locations in Tel Aviv. The port of Haifa was also targeted. Iranian officials have said new waves of attacks will be launched by allied Resistance forces in the region in the coming hours.

Reports show that the United States, France, Britain, and NATO assisted Israel in attempting to thwart the Iranian missiles, but their efforts fell short of expectations.

The attacks coincided with a speech by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who vowed that Iran’s Armed Forces would render Israel "helpless." "Definitely, the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic will deal a great blow to the evil enemy," the Leader declared.

Before the operation, IRGC Chief Mohammad Pakpour warned that Iran’s retaliation would open the "doors of hell" for Israel, describing the strikes as "bitter and painful." Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf asserted that while the Zionist regime initiated the conflict, Iran would determine its conclusion.

A senior IRGC official has stated to Iranian media that should Israel take further hostile actions against civilian sites, Iran’s next phase of retaliation will target the regime’s economic and social infrastructure.

Apart from residential buildings, Iran’s main nuclear facility in the central Esfahan province named Natanz was also attacked by Israel multiple times throughout the day on Friday. It appears that the regime did not manage to penetrate the hardened underground structure, but some damage was reported above the ground.

At least two Israeli F-35 fighter jets were downed by Iran’s air defense systems. One pilot was captured.
